I'll take a double helping of fiscal responsibility...
with a side of personal stupidity.
Last month when I sat down and took a hard look at my budget (and subsequently realized I was worried about my budget) I realized that I have wasted a retarded amount of money. I have been paying $8.99 a month in Netflix subscription fees for the last 11 months. And that entire time, the same movie has been sitting on my mantel. Unwatched. I keep meaning to watch it. I just never turn on my tv except for the kids or to play xbox. So this has to be the most expensive and pointless movie rental in the history of mankind.
So tonight I'm finally watching Reality Bites so I can send it back tomorrow and end my Netflix subscription. Maybe next I'll watch the Aeon Flux dvd's a friend loaned me in February (original MTV animated series, not the Charlize Theron version) and the Battlestar Gallactica season 3 box set I was given for my birthday this spring.

I did the same thing last Xmas. Especially given how much i shell out for the cable bill. I have a few addictions but with all the pay channels doing this 'on demand' stuff - most of the things i would see via netflix, I can see on demand. the onyl thing netflix had going for it was the 'watch now' feature on the internet.
last year at a staff retreat myself, toby, E and a few others all camped in a suite and watched Six String Samurai off of a meeting project onto a sheet tacked to a wall. Let the rest of the company bond.. we bonded over watching the Kid schrill at Buddy.. aahhnnnnnnnnnnnn
