I'm sorry but I have to cut you off...

[this is good]
I responded with an @ reply on Twitter but thought I'd pay you the courtesy of responding here. I've unfollowed people I actually know due to their Twitter habits; many times because they never post anything of value versus posting too much.

You do know, though, that you can change your settings to not eavesdrop on other conversations and only see @replies to those folks you are following? Not a lot of people know that. Maybe that can help you manage your feed if you end up following anyone else who likes to engage.

That's the beauty of Twitter, though. There are no "rules." It's to be used in a way that best fits the individual user. My way and your way are not complementary. I always lose a couple of followers whenever I end up over-tweeting (which these days happens less and less frequently), which doesn't bother me a bit. It actually makes me glad to see that people are caring about their social network use and wanting to make it most valuable to them. Doesn't mean I won't continue to follow them -- as long as I continue to find value in what they are saying. Trust me -- if you look at my ratio I only follow a small percentage of those who follow me. It's not because of snobbery or some of the other reasons people don't follow back. It's because I want to keep my feed clean, too.

Hope this comment wasn't too excessive. And I wiish you well. :)
Also -- You might want to email Twitter support. The older page option is not broken. So maybe you're getting the raw end of the deal somehow. :)
